Let’s Fix Parking at Royal Oldham Hospital

Every week, I hear heartbreaking stories, patients missing appointments because they can’t find a space, visitors circling for ages while loved ones wait inside and NHS staff finishing 12 hour shifts only to face parking fines.

 

That’s why I’ve launched a campaign to fix the parking problems at Royal Oldham Hospital. This isn’t just about convenience, it’s about safety, access to care and fairness for everyone who relies on our hospital.

I’ve written to Oldham’s MPs, Debbie Abrahams, Jim McMahon and Lucy Powell, asking for their support in pushing for urgent, long-term improvements.

 

Our campaign calls for:

A new multi-storey car park or expanded facilities to increase capacity

Dedicated parking opposite A&E for emergency patients

Affordable and fair parking for patients, visitors and NHS staff

Better access for wheelchair users and those with mobility needs

 

If Royal Oldham Hospital could give the world the first NHS IVF baby, I’m sure it can also give local people the parking facilities they deserve.
