Congrats to our new Youth Mayor

Congrats to our new Youth Mayor Penelope Spencer-Simpson on becoming 16th Youth Mayor of Oldham.

 

I was privileged to deliver vote of thanks to our amazing retiring Mayor Isaac Quinn for amazing service and support for young people. Among his many contributions, Isaac wrote and delivered a powerful motion on vaping to the full council, opened Oldham’s Green Summit in 2024 and served as the Youth Council’s Wellbeing Officer. In that role, he worked tirelessly to ensure that the wellbeing of all youth councillors remained a top priority. His natural warmth and personable nature made him a trusted presence, both within the Youth Council and throughout the community, including during its elections. #LoveOldham
