Honoured to officially open Festival Oldham organised by Oldham Council’s Heritage, Libraries and Arts Service – Creativity & Culture Team.
Festival Oldham is Oldham’s annual FREE outdoor festival in Oldham Town Centre. It showcases local and national street art, music, theatre, dance, circus, storytelling and spoken word performances in unusual spaces in Oldham Town Centre.
This year we have over 50 performances and activities from 20 local, regional and national companies across 5 sites. The festival has commissioned 4 new pieces of street art from
Greater Manchester creatives.
The event helps to foster a sense of place and local pride, supports local businesses and cultural venues,
and gives the opportunity for local people to enjoy high quality cultural experiences within a town
centre setting.
