Social Mobility in Tech

I had the honour of speaking at the Social Mobility in Tech event where we discussed one of the most important issues facing our society today – social mobility.

Social mobility is about fairness, ensuring that where you start in life doesn’t determine where you end up. It’s about removing the barriers that stop people from even finding the first rung of the ladder.
Our discussion highlighted that:

* Healthcare access is fundamental to opportunity.
* Technology like telemedicine can transform lives, but only if everyone has the skills, connectivity and confidence to use it.
* Real change happens when communities, public services and businesses work together to open doors.

The most powerful part of this evenings event was the shared commitment in the room. People were ready not just to talk, but to act using their platforms to lift others.

My takeaway is this – ask who is missing from the table, use your influence to bring them in and remember social mobility is not someone else’s responsibility, it belongs to all of us.

Thank you to organisers and to everyone who contributed their stories and passion.

Collectively we can make opportunity not the privilege of a few, but the right of all #SocialMobility #Inclusion #TechnologyForGood #Healthcare #Equity
