Mayoral Allowance Donation to the EIC Community Food Bank

The European Islamic Centre (EIC) brought together people from different backgrounds, faiths and communities to share a meal and embrace the spirit of Ramadan.

During the evening, Mayor Zahid Chauhan presented a cheque for his entire Mayoral allowance which has been donated to the EIC community food bank to support families struggling with food insecurity. His donation has helped provide meals and essential supplies to those in need.

The European Islamic Centre remains a welcoming place where residents can come together to learn, connect and support those in need. Events like the Community Iftar provide an opportunity for people to share experiences, meet new friends and strengthen community ties.
